DESCRIPTION:This EMBO Practical Course at EMBL Heidelberg takes a small gro
 up of advanced PhD students and early postdocs through metagenomics from s
 ample to analysis. Participants extract DNA from environmental samples\, b
 uild metabarcoding libraries and work with Nanopore and PacBio sequencing\
 , then move on to assembly\, phage and single-cell metagenomics and functi
 onal annotation. Lectures\, lab sessions\, bioinformatics practicals and p
 oster discussions run across eight days\, with places limited to twenty.\n
