About this event
Rather than a conventional meeting, this is a small expert workshop in Trieste working towards international, evidence-based guidance on genetic and reproductive biotechnologies for conservation, under the oversight of the IUCN's Conservation Translocation Specialist Group. Working groups will cover genome engineering, cryopreservation, conservation genetics, paleogenomics, environmental law, bioethics and Indigenous perspectives. Up to 30 researchers, practitioners and policymakers are selected competitively, and the meeting is co-organised by ICGEB and the University of Canterbury.
