Brand kit

Everything you need to write about thebench.bio, link to it or put it on a slide: the logo, the name, the colours and the lab assistant. Use them freely to refer to us. Please do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or something you sell.

The name

thebench.bio, all lower case and one word, with the .bio as part of it, the way the site writes it, even at the start of a sentence. In the wordmark, "the" is white, "bench" is the flask's blue and ".bio" is grey.

The logo

A pixel-art flask, drawn on a 16 pixel grid. On the site its bubbles rise; everywhere else it stands still. Scale it only by whole numbers (32, 64, 128 pixels) with smoothing turned off, or the pixels come out uneven and soft. The SVG stays sharp at any size.

Colours

Dark ground, white type, and the flask's blue. The headline's key word runs from the headline blue to the headline pink.

The lab assistant

The character at the top of our home page, working at the bench. Use it the same way as the logo: whole-number sizes, smoothing off.

Downloads

Using it

• Link the logo or the name to https://thebench.bio.
• Give the logo room: at least half its own width clear on every side.
• Use the dark versions on dark backgrounds and the light ones on light.

• Do not recolour, stretch, rotate or redraw the flask.
• Do not scale the pixel art by a fraction, or smooth it.
• Do not set the name in another colour scheme or capitalise it.
