About TheBench.Bio

I started building TheBench.Bio for myself, as a better way to keep track of what is happening across the biotech industry. The more of it I built, the more I felt it could help a lot of other people too, and that is how it started. What you see here today is only the beginning.

I'm a software engineer who has been drawn to biotech for a while. I still have a lot to learn, but I didn't want to wait until I'd made the switch to contribute something useful. Building software is what I know how to do today, so this is my first contribution to a field I want to be part of.

Over the next year or so I hope to move toward computational biology and closer to the research side, and to keep growing this into something people in the industry rely on, a job board included, shaped as much by the people who use it as by me.
