Dan Rigden of the University of Liverpool presents this free EMBL-EBI webinar on using AlphaFold to judge between competing gene models in eukaryotes. He shows how structure-based scores complement sequence domain analysis and introduces a Nextflow pipeline that applies the approach to whole proteomes. It is especially relevant for anyone annotating non-model species where transcriptomic data are missing.
