About this event

Most genes in the gut microbiome have no known function, and this EMBL conference in Heidelberg is about lighting up that dark matter. Sessions cover data-driven discovery, genetic tools for mapping gene function, multi-omics, visualising protein complexes and gene function in ecological context, with around twenty invited speakers from Europe, the US and Israel. Robert Finn, Lisa Maier, Kiran Patil and Nassos Typas organise it, and you can attend in person or online, though only on-site participants may submit abstracts.
