Running a flow cytometry core takes more than instrument know-how, and this EMBO Practical Course at EMBL Heidelberg treats the people side as seriously as the technical one. Practicals cover instrument and sample troubleshooting and SOP writing, alongside exercises in negotiation, conflict management and personal goal setting. It is designed for core facility staff, team leads and aspiring managers, with only sixteen places for a properly interactive week.
