About this event
In this free hour-long EMBL-EBI webinar, Amy Wiseman of Durham University shows how metagenomic mining, sequence analysis and structural prediction can turn up antimicrobial enzymes in extreme environments. Her examples are endolysins found in Icelandic hot springs and Arctic seawater, studied with AlphaFold alongside X-ray crystallography. It suits researchers and students in microbiology, bioinformatics, structural biology and biotechnology, and places are allocated first come, first served.
