About this event
The first Southern Africa Biomedical Engineering Conference, hosted in Cape Town by UCT MedTech with the Biomedical Engineering Society of South Africa, is built around the theme of bridging innovation and access in Africa. Ten tracks run from diagnostics, biomaterials and medical devices to AI and digital health, clinical engineering, regulation and entrepreneurship, with a focus on technology suited to resource-limited settings. Expect keynotes, panels, a student hackathon, an industry exhibition and a conference dinner.
