Dren Bio raises $350 million for dibotatug and pipeline research
Dren Bio raised $350 million in a private financing co-led by Juvia Group and Lightspeed Venture Partners, its first disclosed venture round in more than four years.12 The company said it expects to use the proceeds to take dibotatug through late-stage clinical evaluation and regulatory submission, while funding research across several disease areas.2
Dibotatug is a fully human antibody designed to bind CD94 and selectively eliminate disease-causing cytotoxic cells while sparing the broader immune system.2 The drug is being studied for cytotoxic T-cell lymphoma and large granular lymphocytic leukemia, neither of which has an approved therapy.12 More than 300 people with relapsed or refractory forms of the diseases have received dibotatug in an ongoing Phase I/II study.2
Dren Bio plans to explore dibotatug in aplastic anemia, other bone marrow failure syndromes, and autoimmune conditions.2 Juvia’s Sujal Shah and Lightspeed’s Shelley Chu joined Dren Bio’s board after the financing.2
